I don’t believe in gender being a big fact, but I suppose you should know that I am a girl. I enjoy fairytales, and though I pretend not to care, I try to pretend I am one. I don’t pretend I am the metaphor of a fairytale, but rather that I am the protagonist in a fairytale. Silly, don’t you think?

Anyways, I have had one writing blog on this website before. I shall try my best to update this blog or post some new tidbit at least once a week. But as school is very busy, I often will have to bend my goal.

One thing that I hold very dear is the artist Sky Sailing. It is Adam Young, and it is an album from when he was still stuck in Minnesota. He wrote the songs during his insomnia. And they are beautiful. They are not pretty. They are beautiful. Adam Young himself I do not find attractive, but I find him beautiful. Here is an excerpt from his letter:

“If by chance you ever feel as though you’ve come to know these songs or empathize with the emotions therein, please consider yourself a friend of mine because in a manner of speaking, you know me. As the saying goes, one can truly glimpse the artist through his/her art, and that expression certainly proves faithful in my case. This music is my heart and soul. This is who I am.

With that being said, I am so very glad to meet you.

With all due respect,

Adam Young”

And though I am not a music composer, I am a writer at heart.

With everything said, I am pleased to meet you.

If any of you were able to stand my ramblings thus far and are interested enough in the obsessions of an old-fashioned adolescent girl(another fact!), you can find Sky Sailing’s letter and website here:                     http://www.skysailingmusic.com/default.aspx

  1. Thanks for the like. Next time leave a comment. Only takes a minute and then we get to know each other. I wish you the best. Ramble away. When you blog, it’s wise to post twice, at least, a week. Study hard and keep writing, new friend.

  2. We’ve talked about our similar tastes in music and movies before, but I found a difference in our opinions: I find Adam Young extremely attractive! Then again, I noticed something else we have in common. We are both old-fashioned adolescent girls! 🙂

    • I find him extremely attractive–just not particularly good looking. I feel like he would like like a gentleman in a pride and prejudice suit. 🙂 Some people just don’t look like gentlemen even if they are wearing those old fashioned suits, you know?
True! I feel like such an old soul among my friends ): Do you ever feel that way?

      • I do sometimes. I feel like at times my Christian beliefs can seem a bit old-fashioned, like people just don’t believe in that anymore. And yeah, Adam Young would definitely be a gentleman. I think he’s pretty good looking, but that’s just me! 🙂

      • I used to go to a Roman Catholic school despite not being Roman Catholic. I learned a lot of my views from there (;
Oh, the young people these days! How strange they are, haha.
I honestly think Alexander Ludwig is incredibly attractive, but it’s all just personal taste.

      • Ooh, yes. Alexander Ludwig has a nice body… I think Josh Hutcherson is cute too, but then I realized he’s only 5’7″, so just 4 inches taller than me! I went to a Christian kindergarten, but I’ve been at mostly public schools since then.

      • Yes, definitely!
I’m only around 5-foot-2 so it’s totally fine with me 🙂
My experience with public school wasn’t all that wonderful. What do you think about it?

      • Depends on what part of the country you’re in to be honest. I’ve been in 9 different schools, and I don’t go to school in America anymore, so my experiences have probably been a bit different! Overall though, Florida public schools have been the scariest to me.

      • Yeah I went to kind of a ghetto school there where a few of my classmates were expelled for marijuana possession and fighting. But I live in the Netherlands now, and unfortunately since marijuana is legal here druggy classmates are normal.
